Gmail: Clean your out of control Inbox without deleting everything in 3 easy steps!

Haven't checked your email in a while? When you did, you found 4 gazillion emails had jam packed your inbox? It's happens to the best of us, and no matter how daunting the task of going through all that email because you know there could be something of actual importance hidden within 3099 emails... You can do it at your leisure and clear the Inbox!

Use the Gmail archiving feature to your advantage, as well as labels (stars), and the wonderful "Select all".

Here's three easy steps to a clean Gmail Inbox...


Log into Gmail, of course...
From the Inbox select "All" from the checkbox dropdown in the toolbar


It will initially only select the emails visible in the first screen, but click on the link that asks the magic questions, "select all 3099 conversations in Inbox"



Now choose to "Archive" all of the email by clicking the "Archive" button in the Gmail toolbar.

This will move all mail to the archive for later review, deletion and so on.

How do you find the "Archive" email?




Click on "All Mail" in your email folders menu.
