Google, we love you, but you're making us crazy

First, Google announces that they have stopped supporting Google Labs... ! Considering that Google labs produced some pretty darn amazing projects (Gmail for instance), Google shutting down this mega factory of the successful and sometimes not so successful experiments just doesn't seem prudent, although Google states that they are doing so to concentrate on bigger and better things. Still, what a loss.

All right, so Google Labs is cast to the wind, and now, Google Toolbar is down for the count - literally. For those who updated to Firefox 5 (if you haven't and you love Google Toolbar, don't) you've already discovered that Google Toolbar isn't supported.

This isn't new news, but there's quite a few regular users of the Google Toolbar who are just discovering this as they upgrade to the best and newest Firefox browser.

Google says Firefox 5.0 has everything built into it that their toolbar offered. Some say this is true, and others... not so much. Unless you want to install countless Add-ons, you're not going to get page rankings in Firefox 5.0, site specific searches, sharing ease with social media sites, and the list goes on.

But wait! We found something - okay, we didn't find it really, because we've been using it in addition to Google Toolbar for quite a while, and it only just now occurred to us that this single add-on does it for us!

Yeah, yeah, we've seen this before. We use it here on the blog, but, as a browser add-on, AddThis does what GT did for it's basic users.
