Android Apps for web cams and music: Eyespyfx and SoundHound

In the past year of Android user-ship, I've come to find that I'm not using most of the apps I've downloaded, and subsequently uninstalling them with a since of mild disappointment and wonder; "are there any apps that I really can't live without?"

I think I've found two apps that finally fit the "can't live without" category: SoundHound and EyeSpyFx

SoundHound easily replaces Shazam for fast music ID'ing. The app will ID original songs or near approximations, letting you speak a few lyrics or even hum. But here was the real test, ID'ing a song in a loud restaurant or bar. SoundHound was successful two out of three times - the third time being a failure due to a particularly loud waitress walking past me while the app was hard at work.

SoundHound is available for free with ads, and this version works flawlessly. But it's also available ad-free for $5.00 for Android, and $6.99 for others (e.g., iPhone, Nokia, etc.)

Eyespyfx turns an ordinary web cam into a security cam viewable on your smart device or Internet browser. Works perfect with just the online broadcaster program for PC, or best with the smart device app that is well worth the price of $6.38 (Android). Add multiple camera views, archive images and password protect your online cameras for your eyes only.
