Twitter Contains StalkDaily Spam Infection

Twitter has reportedly squelched the dreaded StalkDaily worm that swept across Twitter user pages Saturday.

Running rampant through the Twitter system this virus changed user bio urls, sending the unsuspecting to StalkDaily.com, a Twitter competitor site.

The perp recognized a flaw in Twitter's bio area, where not only text could be placed, but scripting as well. Oops.

This is being touted as the most sophisticated attack on Twitter to date (c. Mashable). Unfortunately, this isn't likely the last either. The stink this incident caused, and just the fact that Twitter is becoming immensely popular, has turned the service into a major target for attacks.

Oh, it's safe now, but for how long?
