GeeMail puts offline Gmail on your desktop

GeeMail is a standalone Gmail client that looks and feels exactly like Google's Gmail before the "labs" were introduced. Unlike Google's official offline solution that uses Gears, GeeMail is quite a bit faster.

The app will eventually pull in the entirety of your inbox (except for attachments and photos), but it does this in chunks. Search--one of Gmail's most important features--is missing in GeeMail.

Other than the look and feel, if you miss the "old Gmail" this app appears to be one of possibly many to jump on the Offline Gmail band wagon.
